Love those little owls!

I am currently revising and expanding my class schedule, with a view to a new venue and also adding a monthly Stamp Club... I will know more in the next few days, so contact me to be added to my mailing list if you'd like to find out more - or you can click on my Demonstrator Website link at the very top of the right sidebar -----------> over there somewhere!

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Monthly Calendar Challenge - February

Hi!

Here is my February calendar page for Susan's Monthly Calendar Challenge. I am really enjoying doing these 6" x 6" calendar pages. This month's theme was Love and Romance, and you can check out all the details by clicking here. There's still time for you to join in!

I love all of the traditional romantic gestures (flowers, chocolates, dinner and wine) but one of my favourites would have to be love letters and cards! I have stamped my 'Sent With Love' Gorjuss Girl with Jet Black StazOn and coloured her with my blender pens, inkpads and white gel pen. My favourite dandelion heart stamp (from 'A Happy Heart') has been stamped in the background to tie in with the border. I also love rhinestones, so I have wrapped a clear rhinestone brad around the ribbon.

Supplies:

Stamps: Sent With Love (Gorjuss Girls by Sugar Nellie), A Happy Heart, Short & Sweet

Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, So Saffron, Whisper White

Ink: Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Creamy Caramel

Accessories: Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' Kit, clear rhinestone brad, Pink Pirouette striped grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, Calendar template by Cat, scallop edge punch

Thanks Susan for the challenge!
Back with another post in a minute,
Genelle.

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #17 - Happy Anniversary

Hi all,

This week Keesh had an Inspiration challenge - here is the photo:

I thought of going out for dinner, and decided to make an anniversary card. I decided to use the elements in the photo like a sketch:

For the branch I have used the flourish from Baroque Motifs in Creamy Caramel ink. Some Bella Bleu DSP panels represent the table etc, with a scored line across the top for texture and definition. The kraft ribbon and silver brads are inspired by the napkin and silverware. I was going for a simple elegant look, and decided to use Very Vanilla to bring out the warmth as well.
The greeting on the DSP is from Cheer & Wishes.

The weather has been so miserable and gloomy that I struggled with the photo even more than usual! This one was taken flat, the best I could do - the card fold is at the top.

Supplies:

Stamps: Baroque Motifs (first time I've used it, lol!), Cheer & Wishes

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Bella Bleu DSP

Ink: Creamy Caramel

Accessories: Kraft taffeta ribbon, filagree brad, silver brads, rhinestone brad, paper piercer, mat pack.

Thanks Keesh for a very challenging challenge! :)

Genelle.
